Hastelloy alloy C22, also known as alloy C22, is a kind of multifunctional austenitic Ni-Cr-Mo Tungsten alloy, which has stronger resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.The high chromium content provides good oxidation resistance to the medium, while the molybdenum and tungsten content has good tolerance to the reducing medium.
Hastelloy C-22 has antioxidant acyl gas, moisture, formic and acetic acid, ferric chloride and copper chloride, sea water, brine and many mixed or contaminated organic and inorganic chemical solutions.
This nickel alloy also provides optimal resistance in environments where reduction and oxidation conditions are encountered during the process.
This nickel alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat affected zone of welding and is therefore suitable for most chemical process applications under welding conditions.
Hastelloy C-22 should not be used at temperatures higher than 12509F because of the formation of harmful phases higher than this temperature.
