 Inconel 601 is a general purpose engineering material suitable for applications requiring heat and corrosion resistance.One of the outstanding characteristics of Inconel 601 alloy is its resistance to high temperature oxidation.The alloy also has good water corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, and is easy to form, process and weld.It is a face-centered cubic solid solution with high metallurgical stability.The alloy's nickel base, combined with a large chromium content, provides resistance to many corrosive media and high temperature environments.The aluminum content further improves the oxidation resistance.The properties of Inconel 601 alloy make it widely used in heat treatment, chemical processing, pollution control, aerospace, power generation and other fields.

Why Inconel 601?

•Excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature
•Good carbonization resistance
•Very good resistance to oxidation sulfur atmosphere.
•Good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature.
•Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking performance,due to the control of the carbon content and grain size,601 has high creep rupture strength.therefore it is recommended to use 601 in the field of above 500℃.

Corrosion resistance:

Oxidation resistance up to 1180C.Even in very harsh conditions, such as in the process of heating and cooling cycle,
Can generate a dense layer of oxide film and get high resistance to spalling.
Good resistance to carbonation.
Since the high content of chromium, aluminum,alloy has the very good oxidation resistance in high temperature sulfur atmosphere5.
